Sam Jones and the team behind Revel were commissioned by Isle of Man Government - an offshore jurisdiction and centre for business and commerce – to develop an event concept which would help them reposition the Island as a centre for start-ups and entrepreneurs, relocating businesses and inward investment.
The team set about developing the ISLEXPO concept – a three-year conferencing series designed to encourage enterprise across a range of sectors, whilst providing an engaging platform for delegates, sponsors and Government representatives to learn, debate and connect.
The inaugural event launched with a well-attended Gala dinner, hosted by Olympian Sir Chris Hoy, who set the motivational tone. A whole host of inspirational content and accessible networking ensured, with inspiring talks from global business leaders, practical sessions from Google and funding advice from the client’s team.
ISLEXPO 2016 was received as a stand-out success, exceeding all expectations in terms of numbers, sponsorship and profile, notably with #ISLEXPO trending for two days.
